Hey iv just ordered my gruppe m it comes wednesday and cant wait to fit it. People on here all boast about how much power is actually gained. well how much is that in torqe or BHP? any one got ant dyno slips they can show??? cheers guys
heard they can be a bit of a t**t to fit lookin at the instructions on here
thanks for that, sounds great n obviously proven lookin at the dyno. n yer heard they can be a bit of a t**t to fit lookin at the instructions on here
didnt realise how much of a gain and how good these seem to be, are they much better than just a Air filter induction kit?
Gruppe M is the gold standard for K20 air induction. ARC and J's intake are also pretty good. AEM CAI gives good gains, but having the filter low down means potential havoc for hydrolock.
The open cone filters in the engine bays (K&N Typhoon, Blitz, AEM short ram) will sound ok, but the power gains will be minimal due to heat soak etc. I'm sure people who own these will contest the matter, but until you've had the gold standard, you don't know what you're missing out on.
i got mine from cplracing.co.uk it cost £520 + VAT and £18 to deliver it to yorkshire.
Not at all, I have fitted 4 in my time.
The first time was to my own EP3, I took my time, did some research and didnt overtighten anything first time round. It fitted like a glove first time off and was great all the up until I removed it two years later.
Excellent piece of kit. Induction porn.
on the guide to fitting the gruppe m on here it says to use the original scuttle panel because the one provided rattles? has any one fit this pannel without any problems or do you all also agree to cut out the origanal panal????? tips would be greatful guys and also in the instructions it says in bad rain to close the inlet how is this achieved ???
This shows the gain I had with a Gruppe M over the OEM airbox.
Both runs on the same dyno, but different days. No other mods were different....
