Headlight Adjustment Motor

Well my passenger side has gone, probably because I hadn't touched the adjustment for about a year till yesterday. Anyway, I've unplugged the connector to the headlight for the motor, will this be ok till I get a chance to get it fixed? I've wrapped both connectors with electrical tape to give them a bit of protection from the elements.

Any ideas on cost I gather the whole cluster has to be replaced?

Don't think it would have mattered if you left it connected tbh.

Both mine went at the same time and they were like that for 10 days before it went in the garage.

I suppose it depends if they are whining .........mine only did it when the ignition was turned on but seemed to stop after a while..........perhaps the noise of the car drowned them out.

And i think (from memory) they are £92 + VAT each for a prefacelift CTR.
