Headunit loosing its memory?

Ok so i've installed my after market head unit & it works fine however everytime i turn the car off/on the settings i change go back to factory on the headunit, any ideas? Like i said everything works fine but the headunit kind of looses its memory?

Red and Yellow wires need swapping round.

some head units have watch batterys in as well. when they die the head has no memory
