Heaters/blower with mind of its own

I have had this problem for a year now and I can't take it anymore.

The problem is I cannot show the mechanic because they start working again.

The heaters will randomly start blowing and work for days and than they stop for weeks. Sometimes they stop when going round a roundabout.

What is doing this? The front engine fan kicks in if car is idle for too long so that works it's just internally.

Someone help me out before I go insane. I don't fancy tonight's drive back in the dark with misty windows and freezing temps for 80 miles.

No one come across this problem?

Called up Honda to see roughly how much parts are,

Blower Motor £291
Resister £95

I can locate cheaper parts that's not an issue, I can diagnose it. Garages see £££ signs before even asking what the issue is.
