Help needed. Connection at top of gearbox

Hi all, looking for a bit of help. On fitting a CAI i noticed this connection on top of the gearbox with no hose attached to it. It looks like it should have a hose as there is oil in/around it but I can't find anything! Anyone know what should be on here? Thanks in advance.

There's no hose there mate just a rubber blank which I assume is to stop that oil coming out, doesn't go anywhere though I could take a pic if you like.
