FN2 Help with error code??

Put car on computer and get

91-1 can communication error

Get VSA light system check and tyre deflation system.check light flashing.
Anybody know this error?

Can I would expect refers the the standard the OBD port talks to the reader with. Can communication error suggests the reader can't talk to the OBD port.

FN2s are OBD II but there are different OBD standards. Any chance you've been using the wrong type of code reader?

Just had a look on google.

These are the pins used on the FN2 and it confirms lower down it is ISO 9141-2: http://pinoutdiagram.com/honda-obd-ii-diagnostic-interface-pinout/

It's either that or you have a major system fault. Time to check all of the fuses IMHO, not just the VSA and ABS ones.

Would this mean his reader would require polarity changed on his plug?

If it's a multi type reader it will need putting on the ISO 9141-2 setting if it's can't auto detect.

Im gonna check all fuses under bonnet tonight? Shouldnt be anything up in car fuse box?

Have a look in the book bud. I can't remember which ones are in the inside box. I seem to remember they were bulbs and 12v etc but there could be something more substantial.
