hesitation problem?

happened 3 times on the way home tonight. doing 60-70mph so 3-3,500rpm it will hesitate as such. feels like i'm stamping off and on the throttle. it did start few weeks ago so thought it was bad weather but as it was bone dry and sun shining this afternoon.

i'm thinking maybe throttle position, but want to know what other people may think?

really starting to bug me now as its not every day. may do it once or more on the way to and from work.

I get hesitation at low RPM and I press on the accelerator, happens in all gears. From my own research it appears to be the throttle cable stretching and a new one will fix it.
 
I also get this around 2/2500 rpm or light throttle. Throttle position sensor is my hues from all the things I've read
