FK2 high beam headlights honda civic type r fk2

was looking at led but I've heard they look really bright in housing but not so good at output onto the road

I've got LED's (Non R, but same reflector housing for high beam) - I've found the light to project quite nicely personally, with the LEDs set with the actual LED (Light emitters) Horizontal, taking full advantage of the reflector housing.

The light output is good, with the colour temperature matching DRLs and Dip, and better picking out reflective signs and similar.

If you very carefully scrutinise the output, there are some bright and dim patches, however, in use these aren't noticeable.

It's worth trying LEDs for the sake of ~£20 for some reasonable units on Ebay - If you find you like them, you can always look at investing more, though I'm quite happy with the performance of the cheapo units.

That video should give you a basic idea of the turn on time and projection, I'll see if I can find some better quality images.

Video above has a halogen on the left bulb (yellow tinge) and LED on the right, Still trying to get a good example of high beams in action - May have a look on the dashcam and see if there is a snap to show.

I've now been running the LEDs for a few months and I've not had any complaints thus far:- Bulbs in use are these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=292164635496&view=all&tid=1506321059019
Though the current offering is in red, you should be able to find something similar.

Be careful with your choice, I've tried a few different LED bulbs and these are the only ones that can actually fit the heat sink inside the unit + shut the cap.
