High mileage EP3

Just some opinions wanted really!

I currently own an ep3 with 161k miles on it, now it runs fine the engine is solid and has full service history, it does have a little noise from the gearbox.. Which when I took it to Honda they said it was the gearbox bearings? No problems just a noise but he said eventually they'll need changing..

On the body work side of things it's got a couple of dinks here and there from previous owner and a crack in the front bumper, so far I've only bought stuff that can easily be taken off like wheels, exhaust and induction kit.

I'm undecided on whether to start with some bigger mods, or wait for it to die and get another? Does anyone else have high mileage ones they spend money on?

I have an EP3 same year and colour as yours on 140k that is being used purely as a track car! As long as you keep on top of maintenance it should be fine! Though when we eventually supercharge ours we are prepared to rebuild the engine if/when it pops haha!

I got mine on 145k I've done 16k since so I dunno why I'm worried haha, hasn't had any problems

My brother owns a ep3 one owner since brand new. Has 184,000 engine is strong and drive like it's done half the miles. Always serviced on time and maintained with genuine parts regardless of cost at Honda and Honda specialist.

I've had my 2004 EP3 since new also. Ok so slightly lower mileage at 130K but I've spanked it daily since new! Never from cold and religiously serviced. Drives a good as it always has.

Most cars will last if looked after.

It won't be worth a lot if you try to sell so I'd keep it.
