gave it its first wash and polish and i can honestly say there isn't a mark on it, also replaced the front disks and pads as one disc was badly scored and the rears shall soon follow as they are slightly pitted and corroded. Also fitted an AEM V2 induction kit which i am currently borrowing from a friend, gives it a nice bit of noise.

plans at the minute are to get hold of a set of decent coilovers and an exhaust system, can anyone recomend a good quality set of coilovers? also if anyone happens to have any for sale?

i would really like a Buddy Club exhaust system, but i think they go for like £1200 for the full system brand new? again any recomendations for an exhaust system or anyone with one for sale would be much appreciated

thanks Callum

Welcome along! Decent coil overs require deep pockets so brace yourself!

Most people use springs and a fast road set up.

Welcome to the forum. Keep an eye on the for sale section for exhausts. I think there's a Spoon b-pipe up for sale at the moment, but other stuff comes up. You just have to be quick. :)

Thanks for the replies, how much do you reckon each would/should set me back? I am happy to spend some decent money to get some good quality parts, i want to keep this car at a high show standard but without going too stupid (at least not yet ;))

bought these coilovers from a friend who i believe is also a member on here

over the moon with the purchase, soon to be getting fitted and set up, firstly i had a small accident involving me reversing into the neighbors Ford Focus  so need to pay for repairs and a trip to the body shop before hand,

not entirely my fault that i bumped his car but just have to pay up and get over it, as you can see from here, his 'parking' was questionable

Just like mine :) except mine doesn't have 36k on the clock anymore :(

I also did something similar to the passenger side rear end.... except at speed into foliage. Never much fun is it.

PS... give the v2 back to your friend and get a propper induction kit. AEM CAI if you're on a budget/don't like wasting money or Gruppe M/Tegiwa M if you want bling/can afford it.

he will be getting it back before long, i just like the noise it kicks out when you boot it, i had a look at the CAI's like and quite fancy one, is it not a pain to fit though? where does the feed actually end up?

it wasn't a nice feeling like when i hit his focus, only had the car four weeks when it happened! getting sorted end of this month once the new door is fitted to the neighbour! luckily i have a friend of mine who is in the trade and owns his own shop otherwise it was gonna be a big big big bill.

Bummer about the accident. He does not look happy in the picture and looks like it got a bit heated.

Well it's not a straightforward fit but it doesn't require any specialist tools or skills... Just a bit of perseverance! You could get that fixed for less than £400 no problems! Mine was a fair bit worse and I had it fixed for £700 including a new rear light.

Yeah it got a bit heated like but i just had to sit and take it hah could of killed him like but at the end of the day i reversed into him

£150  its not what you know it who you know

I recently got my EP3 drivers side wing caved in by someone in a car park. Damaged the bumper too. Still to get it fixed.

It was a hit and run, which I absolutely cannot stand. I wish folk would be a man about it and just admit they did it. Even leave me a f@ckn note to say they are sorry would be nice. D#ick!

i would be sick if it happened to me, that's why i have done everything to repair the other guys car, all he had to do was book it into the shop, drop it off and then pick it up again

Nice price... Yea I was going worst case there with new rear bumpers... didn't want to get your hopes up! And to be fair, I had my front end resprayed too at £700.

haha yeah! i was pleasantly surprised when he said £150 like, whole incident has set me back £700 but to be fair it could have been a hell of alot more

had these arrive in the post :D Eibach SPC adjustable rear camber arms, unfotunately i am working away from home at the moment, 150 miles away in Cottam Power Station 7 days a week 10 hours i dont have any time to get them and the coilovers fitted! so they'll be in the garage for a month or so until i get home, probably order myself an HKS Hi Power cat-back aswell and get everything on together! Also i have been looking at the AEM CAI which is now on the shopping list
