Is It normal for the backbox to get red hot after a 10 minute drive

I felt It this morning after I had drove home from work and It was scalding hot

I even put a couple of drips from a puddle on It and It hissed

Is this normal :?: :?:

I did just have a new b-pipe fitted  could this be the cause :?:

It flows something like 135 litres/min of exhaust gas compared to 113 litres/min for stock. You've obviously seen the size and volume of the stock back box compared to the the miniscule size and volume of the N1 muffler, so its going to get hotter than stock :)

Also don't let anything plastic touch it like a crisp packet, become a real paint trying to scrape that off

Had bin liner that decided to make my b-pipe it's home, smelt a burning plastic smell for over a month!! :(
