Hummm 'Performance Chip' ??

Hi everyone,

Just want to know what everyones view on these 'Performance Chips' I've been seeing loads of them around, but just not sure weather to believe it or not... Altho the theory sounds good.

they are a complete scam. when you consider what a Kpro etc costs there is no tangible comparison.

They are a load of toss mate. My brother was stupid enough to buy one for his old Fiesta a few years back, and it simply a resistor which you can buy in an electrical shop for a few pence.

Idea being you overide the Intake temp sensor signal to send a different reading to the ECU. The signal makes the ECU think the intake air temp is lower thus dumping in more fuel.

Needless to say, more fuel does not equal more power. More fuel = poorer MPG & higher emissions.
