Anyone fitted one to an Alpine Head Unit?

Halfrauds have the adaptor kits on sale, was just wondering if anyone has fitted one and where the 'block' adaptor unit now sits

i fitted one of these (KS-u57) to a JVC headunit for the same purpose and it sat behind the stereo no poblems
