FN2 ICE/OBD2 Connection to Double Din Head Unit 24/7

Hi everyone was just a quick ECU/ICE question. I had the idea of buying an Bluetooth obd2 like this one http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/231594096372?_mwBanner=1
Then connecting it through my android double din pionner headunit via Bluetooth to give engine info live just like a skyline.

My question is will this cause or in future cause ECU damage if it were left in the port 24/7 for this use? The car I had before my type r was a vagcom car and had a strict routine to connect and disconect OBD2 items to avoid creating errors on the ECUs values.

Shouldn't do no.

I've heard of people connecting them with pdas etc. long term, so should be no different for the headunit.

A lot of those cheap OBD2 are very temperamental, I have same one and got it working once for about 5 mins, then will connect via Bluetooth but not send any more data.
Something about the pins in the connector pushing back in I think.
But iv had several, some work, some don't, some work some of the time.
Friend has a slightly different one and has trouble too.
Let me know if you get it working.
I paid for the torque app for nothing at the moment...
