ICE, what ICE?

Hi All,

I am considering upgrading to some of the following equipment and would appreciate your feedback and advice. To be honest with you I am no expert but have spoken to a few people and done some research and came up with the following.

Main Head Units considering:

Alpine CDA-9853R
Alpine CDA-9855R

Alpine DVA-9965R (not sure on price)

Amplifiers considering:

Alpine V12 MRD-M605 (not sure on price)
Alpine V12 MRD-M1005 (not sure on price)

Subwoofer & Speakers

Alpine Type R 12†subwoofer SWR-122D / 1242D? (not sure on price)

Not sure on what size speakers would be most effective in front :? I am after quality rather then boom boom bass if ya face.

I would appreciate if you experts out there could give us some advice.

Either the 9855 or 9853 are good units, they are essentially the same apart from the display and a few minor details, but the sound will be the same. The 9965 is about £600 last time I looked :shock:

You wont go wrong with Alpine amps or the Alpine Type R sub, front speakers are 6.5" and you will need some mdf spacers for them.
