Idling when cold problem

I've had a search around but can't seem to find a solution to my problem. When i first start my EP3 up from cold it tends to idle at around 1.7k rpm rather than down at 1k. After a few mins it goes back down again to normal. It's not really much of an issue but would love to know why it's doing it and possibly how to sort it.

Its the auto choke and perfectly normal, all modern cars do it.
