Hello chaps,

Been a little while since I've been on the Honda forums so I thought I'd update what has been happening in my world.

Some of you may remember my Facelift DC5 -

I then made a huge f*cking mistake of selling it and getting a new Corsa VXR. I swear to god it was the biggest pile of **** car I've ever owned. :evil:

I threw this back at the lease company & had stern words with myself for even contemplating a Vauxhall.

Since then I've been in this mint S2000 -

The S2000 really is a great car. Love it. Great buy as well as the value is just going up and up!

However for years I've always had a hankering for......

So, deposit left with the good chaps at Torque-GT. Now it's time for that oh-so-familiar wait from Japan....It's not on the boat yet. Due Mid September!

I'll enjoy the rest of the "summer" in the S2000 and then sell when it's closer to FD2 time. :cool:

FD2 will be tracked for sure.

The S2000 is such a tidy low mileage example, I'd feel bad taking it on track - plus I'd probably stack it anyway as have had a few hairy moments!
 
They're not the easiest car to drive when conditions aren't perfect!
 
Nice S2K mate. Looks very clean and not seen the split colour interior one on it before.

Was the FD2 the actual pic of yours or a generic?

The VXR had no character or charisma.

The gearbox was the same M32 box which they use in Fiats & other sh*t cars. Gearshift feel was terrible, notchy. Work the box enthusiastically and you will always get a cringe worthy crunch. Gearknob wasn't ergonomically designed, actually hurt my hand.

Throttle response was shocking. Engine sounded wheezy. Build quality wasn't great. Handling was sloppy and very understeery.

Coming from a sorted DC5, clearly it would be a step down, but it felt like Vauxhall had no passion or enthusiasm about it, just felt like a mildly quick Corsa which would make them some money.

I should have known better!

Yeah the S2K is a nice place to be. Feels higher quality than other Hondas I've had. It's a great car!

It's actually my FD2 in the original post. Here's some more pictures of it - the rear eyebrows and black wrap will clearly be coming off & binned!

Why did you even consider the Corsa in the first place?

A moment of madness obviously. I had just bought a house so was looking to reduce some outgoings, and it was a cheap lease.

Never again!
