SO I built this. Got it around a month ago. The swap was pretty hardcore, a lot of parts had to be chnaged other than the obvious engine/transmission. Its a first for the UK, a few have been done in the states, but the wiring on the USDM civics are different. This coupled with honda not publishing any wiring diagrams of real use, there were a few head scratching moments. But it took under a week to perform the swap. :cool:

The car as it stood when I got it...Mods included K-sport coilovers and 17" rota grids (which are now gone for reasons that will become apparent)

The swap entailed changing to the following parts ;

K20a2 engine/box fitted
DC5 shifter cables
EP3 subframe/wishbones
Hasport ESK1 mounts
EP3 shafts
EP3 rad / aircon condenser
EP3 aircon pipes (to be replaced with DC5 items, will fit the engine bay better)
EP3 downpipe/cat/mid pipe (lengthened)
DC5 backbox
K&N typhoon (will do for now, was cheap and the donor cars airbox was broke)
EP3 engine wiring loom, EM2 wiring loom modified to suit, EP3 ECU, coded to EM2 immobiliser/key
EP3 rear hubs/discs
EP3 front hubs/discs/calipers
EP3 instrument cluster (wiring loom modified)
EP3 EPS system
EP3 wheels

In the next week the following will find their way on....

DC5 brembo conversion (I intend to do a write up on this seeing as how theres no real solid info on doing it that I could find)
CTR wheels to be refurbed white
Stupid number plate to be replaced with a K20 one
The whole car cleaned and detailed in prep for JAE :cool:

Once my K20 EG is done, Im on the lookout for a Jazz to drop a spare K24 I have into :twisted:

I wonder why he ripped out the hydraulic power steering for the electrical (no feel) power steering.

I suppose it was integral to the K20

I thought that too tbh Paul :confused:

Brilliant conversion & once clean it'll look almost factory fit too.

I would love the skill/confidence to undertake such a project & gotta salute the fella :cool:

Hiya, Just seen this topic.

Glad most of you like it :D As for it being a waste of a CTR...well, its better than a complete car being crushed, and IMO, Honda shouldve made a coupe with a K20 in it ;)

Its the first of its kind in the UK, and one of a handfull worldwide.

Heres some recent pictures of it, only it now sports a Skunk2 exhaust system

Ive also got an EG that is K20'd as well, and my winter project is a K20 into a Jazz :eek:
