If you do want that dodgy 80's shine, Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care (oooerr) is good. I think it's the same stuff as their tyre dressing too, and you can use it in the engine bay

I've recently bought some Meguiars Gold Class interior stuff, and its awesome!
