Jerky on first start up

When I first start the car it seems a little jerky in 1st and 2nd gear, it seems fine after a while, does anyone else have this?

Yeah have the same mate I just leave it to idle a little before I set off then it seems fine

yea same here mate I just wait about a minute until revs drop to 1500 then no probs at all

Yep, mine does it also. In fact most cars I have owned do. I usually open door, lean in and pull gear out of 2nd, start car, turn on heater if cold weather, walk round to passenger door, open up, strap daughter in car seat in back, wipe windows clean and then get in and drive of. Rather than start the car last, its the first thing I do to give it a couple more mins to warm up.

as above happens alot with all sorts of cars i have had in the past

I had 3 cooper S mini's before my type R, none of them seemed to do it, just happy it's not a fault
