K&N Typhoon Induction Kit

I'm thinking about putting on a induction kit to my type r and was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on the K&N Typhoon kits?

If so what are they like for sound and adding performance, or alternatively can anybody suggest a good make and model?

I had one on mine for abit good noise power gain was ok too. But in the end I saw the light and got myself a Gruppe M (expencive but worth every penny and it look bling too)

i had a typhoon before i went to gruppem too.

they are good bang for buck mod but actually grabs hot air from the headers instead of cold air.

maybe get a heatshield if you are going through this path
