Would Tensioner replacement suffice. cars done 103k no rattles only when cruising (heatshield etc)

Thread resurrection! So it's been a while, I left the EP3 parked up until recently. I re-installed the new chain and tensioner and gave the tensioner another click with a pry bar.

It started up first turn of the key and hasn't failed to start every day for a few weeks now.

Im still unsure as to what happened - if the new tensioners don't have enough spring force to keep things in order on startup, or whether the crank and cam gears need changing along with the chain.

Time will tell!

Update- I've done over 1000 miles in it now with no issues. My advice to anyone replacing their chain and tensioner would be to advance the tensioner on an extra click with a lever or pry bar.
