K20a Engine

Messages

Have just found a K20a engine aparently out of a Integra DC5 Type S I was under the impression these cars came with the engine K20a2 same as the uk ep3 Type R

Here is an image of the engine for sale it isnt a red top but the block is stamped K20a so I am a little confused to what this engine is and if I should replace it with my blown K20a2 engine currently in my ep3 type r uk spec

noticed the inlet manifold is different also

That could be the K20 that was also put the in the CRV.
It isn't a Type R engine and is aimed at fuel economy over performance

If it is out of a Type S, then it isn't the K20a the Type R had.

I said this on PM, but what I didn't say is that if you do get it you won't be able to manage it on your ECU, it will need Kpro to manage it but which one is anyone's guess!

Looking for support from the forum :p had some googling it appears the k20a3 this engine is found in the teg type s in japan is stamped as a K20a for some reason. is on ebay for £400 thought id found a little gem here haha

All import engines are stamped only but the start K20A, B16A, B18C

for example - a B18C can be the equivalent of a
B18C6
B18C4
B18C - R engine.

Its just the jap thing.

That K20A engine is same as the 2.0 non R engine. Comes in many of the accords and 2.0 type S civic
