late vtec???

i just got my ctr de-cat but now when i go to throttle it the vtec won't kick in until 7000rpm. engine management light has appeared. the de-cat is on the manifold 4-2-1. can anybody help!!

Engine management light will be due to the cat being removed, the car is telling you that the cat is broken.

Late/no Vtec maybe the oil levels. Check the oil levels in the engine, Vtec is reliant on oil.

Are your oil levels alright? Just thinking you might have lower oil pressure with a low oil level?

i'll check the oil. i was always hear ep3's hard on oil. would a slight blow out on the manifold cause this problem.

Some are, some aren't.

Mine only dropped from max to halfway between min/max in 4 or 5 months

others use a litre a month. I think Honda say a litre every 600 odd miles is normal

just keep an eye on it
