Light's, camera, HID kit!

Hi there,

Just wondering if its possible to fit face-lift headlights onto pre-facelift EP3?
Reason being is because I fancy having some HID's but it becomes a MOT failure if you stick HID's inside pre-facelift EP3.

Funky has done this and I'm sure there is a guide in the how-to section.

HID on the pre-facelift cars isn't an automatic failure, but technically speaking any HID upgrade without having headlight washers or auto-levelling headlights breaks VOSA regulations and is not road legal.

That being said my FN2 has neither and passed the MOT at a main dealer with the HIDs in.

Pre facelift cars just require HID kits with bulbs designed for reflector lenses as these will not cause glare to other road users.

Silly question but how do I know whether the KIT is designed for reflector lenses?

Bulb types are in this thread. http://type-r-owners.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?63573-Honda-Bulb-Sizes-Types so pre-facelifts are the H4 bulb.

But the HID bulbs specifically for reflector lenses usually have R in their name, like this: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/hb4r-9006r-anti-glare-replacement-hid-bulbs.html

This obviously isn't the full kit, but you get the idea. With the H4 being Bi-xenon, dual element, the Rs do seem a bit rarer, but if you gave HIDS4U a ring, I'm sure they'd be able to sort you out.
