Well. Its quite a big job to do unless really needed as they start to wear even with very few miles. They don't cause any problem just make the car sound rattley.
Depending on the mileage of your car and what you are thinking of doing, while the cams are actually out its a good time to think about changing the chain and tensioner and even dropping in a set of aftermarket cams so its something you would plan with your future intentions rather than just wondering about swapping out the LMA's if you see what I mean.
Price would therefore reflect against what other parts might want to be done at the time.
