Lowering Standard EP3 Type R Seats?

Any solutions for this on the standard Type R seats? Have found a kit that lowers the Recaro's found in the premier editions etc but can't find any for the normal Type R! Not a major if I can't but feel a little high being 6'2!

Not fussed if the drivers side can't have a runner as I load passengers in passenger side!

Seems like there is nothing on the market given the lack of replys... Shall try and get the drivers seat out and see if there's any way of mounting it directly to the floor pan with a custom seat frame
 
Have a look for Buddy Club lower seat rails. But Im not 100% sure you can lower OEM Seats
 
Yuo can't lower them, the only option is to get premier or 30 AE recaro seats and then lower with spoon/bride rails etc.

The only ones I can find are for side mounted buckets seats & spoon make a set to lower the Recaro's, Looks like custom is going to be the only way, just need to drop the seat 25-30mm and it would be perfect but don't want to go down the after market seat route! Shall try and get a seat out in the coming weeks and see what there is to work with under there!

The Premier Recaro's carry such a price tag for essential a seat that is no better than the original + the cost of the frames :(

Would be looking at £1000 with seats/frames just to get the height down lol
 
Keep your eye on the classifieds/ebay etc, you can pick a pair of premier Recaro seats up for under £500 these days, and sell on your current seats to contribute towards them, lowered seat rails also go for around £100.

Cheers, shall keep an eye out although I still prefer the support from the standard seats, In the Renault Sport world we also have the Recaro Trendlines & granted they look the part but the bolsters are not firm enough to really hold you on those spirited drives... decisions decisions... shall have a look too see if anything can be done with the standard seat/mounting and then decide

My premier recaro seats are next on the list to go.

The seats themselves have no burns, snags etc and are in very good condition. The backs have surface scratches like I'm sure most do.
The drivers seats has slight play in it from front to back. The passenger side doesn't do this. It's never bothered me but thought I'd mention it.
The pictures I've taken aren't very good as it is raining at the minute. I will sort some better ones out to show how good condition they are.

The pics make the seats look faded which they definately aren't. The marks that you can see are also just rain drops. (as stated I will sort some better ones out)

I have a 30th ann. Does that mean I can lower my seats? If so what do I need? I am not that tall, I just have a long body! I feel like the mirror is in the way.

Still can't decide if I want the premier seats... sat in a friends last night and I just don't think they are as supportive on the base as the standard, shall have a play in the coming weeks with the standard seat and see if anything can be done, then I will admit defeat lol
 
Get some DC2/DC5 seats then! There's a set of blue ones for sale on the DC5 forum right now.
