Know dis. The more I drive the focus, the thirstier it gets. I'm lucky to see 20mpg around town now. Expect exactly the same mate. Especially with a bigger engine.

I'm hoping the golf will be with me for a while yet Carl. I think the missus is ready to kick me out and make me sleep in my car I've changed it that much. In 9 years driving I've had 8 cars, not including the golf. That's too many.
 
I don't think it will mate. I predict a voile of months and you will be looking for something else. Then in a few years you will want another DC5.
 
I'd only have another DC5 for the track, terrible daily driver. Especially with 2 kids.
 
I would not say that the golf is a keeper, IMO. Looks nice, and is well spec'd, but can't see you keeping it after that statement :lol:

It is though Andy, the roofline is far to low in the back, can't get an adult in either.

Quite a lot of three doors are like that. It's not designed to be a family car in the first place really. If I was to have another I wouldn't use it for that use!
