Matt's JDM EP3

Another productive morning working on civic.

New front honda brake pads fitted - Brake fluid changed - Front hubs painted black - New auxiliary belt and idler pulley - Engine oil and filter change, inc.spoonsports magnetic sump plug. Gave the car a clean as well. Earlier in the week I also removed the Japanese sat nav/stereo and fitted a standard head unit.
There's still plenty more to do.

Nice car man. I wish i could have a championship white too. Keep it stock and you ll have one of the best classics in a few years

Looks awesome, my one and only critique is that rear plate is too tall :(

agree'd JDM or not as the tailgate is the same as the UK model a normal UK plate would look better IMO. (these were built in swindon then shipped to Japland anyway haha)
I am a fan BTW, good work so far.

I managed to get few more jobs done to the civic last Saturday.

Checked and adjusted valve clearances - New spark plugs - Replaced the ELD unit in the under bonnet fuse box.

There's still some bits to do, but the list is getting smaller.

New number plates
Replace both front lower suspension bushes
Wheel alignment
Central locking

She looks great man, love CW EP3s :) Did they ever do a facelift version for those ?

Yes they did a face lift version, but very rare over here, we have one forum member with one currently.

This Saturday, I was able to spend a bit more time on the civic. This time sorting out a couple of interior bits.
I wasn't happy with the driver's seat when I first collected the car. The seat back would move when getting out, and there was a bit too much wear on the bolster for my liking.
So I purchased another pair of seats and used the best of the 2 for my driver's seat. I also replaced the worn handbrake.

Central locking is next on the list, then suspension.

After a break from working on the car, I finally pulled my finger out and few more jobs ticked off the to-do list.

Replaced:
Front & rear anti-roll bar D bushes.
Drivers door actuator, remote locking now works.
Clutch fluid.
Fitted a spoon sports B pipe.
Fitted some K-systems.pro subframe rigid collars.
Repaired the wiring for the driver's door speaker.
Fitted some facelift inner wing covers, to tidy the engine bay a bit.

Still more to do, but it's getting there.

That is looking glorious.

Nice work (dreading to think of the cost involved)

Thank you very much.

I've spent a small fortune in such a short space of time. Fortunately, I can do the work myself. Which has helped keep some of the costs down, but not by much.

Lovely looking in white, really does suit it, after all your expense, are you still happy with the car ?

Thank you. I am, now I've managed to work my way through most of the niggles. Just a couple of more bits to sort then on to the paintwork. The bonnet and front bumper need painting due to some blemishes.

Love the amount of work and love going into this. Any plans on getting the front facelifted ?

Thank you. The goes for yours, enjoy reading your thread and seeing all the work you're putting in.

No plans as yet. I might consider it in the future?
