Hello folks - got my first EP3 Type R yesterday. Great car lot of fun.

Spec as purchased:

-Tegiwa cat back exhaust
-Tegiwa intake
-Solid Fabrications exhaust manifold
-K100 ECU Romain Levesque at AMD -239 bhp and 175 lb/ft at the AMD
-Eibach Prokit Springs
-JDM rear anti roll bar


Couple of questions, I'm doing a track day in a couple of weeks, what are people running for brakes and wheel tyre combo.

I have a set of RAYS motorsport alloys from an EVO 8, 8j with 235 40 tyres. I understand that they will fit with a spigot ring but will they rub? Any other 18s fit ?

If that doesn't work what are people running in stock rims?

Nice little purchase there, looks like a fairly clean example

When you say Rays evo 8 rims do you mean the standard alloy that comes on the evo 8 or aftermarket alloys? Not sure on 18's fitting.

After market, Rays Alloys G07WT 18 x 8's with Federal RSR 235 40's on them. I have ordered a spigot ring to see if they will fit, but suspect they may rub.

Yes, very happy with the condition of the car and the modifications all looked have been done well and sensible. As far as I can see from prior build thread all mod's were done for fast road use and it's not seen a track. + all mods done in the last 3k and little used there after. Can't really fault it at the moment, quiet little hatch with practicality and when you want a bit of banzi Vtec it's like a mini touring car.

Ok so track day booked for next Wed Eve - Brands

Got a set of 888's from Ebay on the way and just picked these up which have better tyres than on it at the mo. If I can get the 888s on rims for next week I'll use them else these will suffice.
