Might buy another Type R

I sold mine a few months ago to buy a house. Had to as I'd no idea what the bills would be and the finance payments were huge.

Anyway, we're sick of the bangers already and want at least one nice car between the two of us. I only want to spend about £10k and the type R seems to make sense. What with the price drops as the new one comes out.

The GF wanted a Megane 225.... she had a Clio 172 before which she loved. I drove it and wasn't impressed at all. I convinced her to drive it and she agreed it went round corners like a people carrier!

So I told her to test drive a Type R and see what she thought. She loved it.

Am I mad to buy the same car again?? Nothing else seems to fit the bill for the price I want to pay.

What about an EK9/DC2? Although probably best to get the EP3 if it's for the daily driver :)

Yeah, but don't want to go too old. I had an 02, so I'd like to go a little newer.

Plus, the GF wants something newish, and she'll be driving the car more than me I reckon. She's got a longer drive to work, and I don't want her breaking down in the banger she's got at the min.

Sounds like a good plan. DC2 would be a bit too raw for daily use.

Have you thought about an ATR?

Cheers but high mileage.

Plan on keeping it a couple of years.

Nothing wrong with getting another CTR at all mate - good idea if your wanting a newish car and you both enjoy it 8)

DC2 would be a better buy it'd hold it's value better than a CTR.

Not really made for a day to day driver for the average person though

02 plate on 45k miles... it's not that high, i'm knackered with mine then. 63k on an 02 :(

Maybe consider a Leon Cupra R :hide:

Nice car, especially if you find one with the Recaro's etc... Scope to up the power in the future if you get bored, with a nice cheapish remap. Also has the 6 speed, 18's and Brembos, plus a handy 5 door should your needs change in the future :D

DC2 or Accord is a good idea, but don't want something too old, and the GF seems to like the Civic.

Gonna try and get a facelift one so it feels a bit different from my previous 02.
