Milano Rotrex'd EP3

Hi all,

First post over here, been on the FB group for a while but I've just purchased my first Type R.

Long story short I built up my little EG3 over the past 6 years and have gone through countless engines with the last high compression stroker B18CR dying after around 2 days.

This means I've always had a second car and past cars include a E46 M3 and a rather tasty B5 S4 Avant. I have attached a few pics of them below.

So after a short stint in a sensible MK7 Golf GTD, the Honda lover in me had to get back in to a fast Civic. I have always wanted a Supercharged EP so when I came across it on eBay I organised a viewing straight away.

Not sure if the old owner is on here but I have attached a few photos of it below from the day I bought it.

After enjoying it for a few weeks, I got on to Rich at Performance Autoworks to give it the once over and check the state of the engine/chassis for anything that needed doing.

Picked it up last Saturday with a clean bill of health after Rich had replaced the Rear pads and loosened off a sticking caliper, replaced the rear ARB drop links and fitted a replacement IACV to cure a hunting idle.

Nice, bet it goes well, how much power is it making?

Good to see it hasn't needed much doing straight away.

EG3 looks great!

Thanks for the kind words. The EG is a labour of love and although I've had years of bad luck, I don't think I could part with it!

Its making 311bhp, mapped at CPL. Spec is as follows from the for sale add:

Corbeau Clubsport buckets (standard size)with red omp 4 point harnesses and omp specific mounts
Full Piper exhaust system including manifold/sports cat and track friendly silenced cat back.
Clockwise motion drop in baffled sump
Hondata k100
Hondata 4 bar map sensor
Walbro 255 fuel pump
ABP lowering springs with camber bolts and fast road alignment
Gloss black standard alloys with Michelin ps3's all round
Genuine Honda o2/lamba sensor
Genuine Honda headlamps
Genuine Honda front grille and badges
Standard calipers with grooved discs ebc bluestuff/brembo pads, braided brake lines and ate typ 200 fluid

The charger is a brand new upgraded replacement from TTS so hopefully gives me some trouble free motoring

I plan to give it a bit of a deep clean and some minor paint correction this weekend so will update this with progress

So I made use of the nice weather we had the past weekend and went over the entire car with a rotary.

The car was first given a pre wash with Magifoam and then clayed/washed again. I then proceeded with a 2 stage machine polish not aiming for 100% correction as the paintwork on the car is far from perfect. Once complete I gave it a coat of AF Tough Coat and plan to apply a coat of Illusion wax. Unfortunately I was cut short by some gloomy looking clouds!

I didnt take any photos before and after however I have included some photos I took during the process

I then gave it another wash to remove some remaining polish residue and to go over the wheels this time :D
