mot failure?

Does anyone know if this is true, i have lost the clip/spring off the headlight bulb that holds it in place, i heard this is a mot failure can any1 confirm this? Also it is true that you cant buy the part but have to buy the full headlight, thanks in advance.

Incorrect head lamp aim is an mot fail however if you can secure the bulb in its correct position then it should be fine. The mot person won't be under the bonnet for more than a few seconds just to open and close it and check its secure when closed. I wouldnt recomed glue to hold it in position incase you have to change it again. Keep your eye out for a front end damaged civic wich will probable have a smashed head light and get one from there or maybe some one on hear has one??
