mud over alternator and on fan belt

Hi I was checking my oil seen mud splattered over alternator and fan belt guessing cars gone through puddle is this normal or is there some part missing which should be under to stop this thanks haz.

Do you have an arch liner in the driver's side from wheel arch? Is it split?

Most likely could be it do i need to sort that out?

I'd find out if it's there or split first.

Just had a look are arch liners those black plastic sheets covering round the wheel and there's like a black screw fitted and it moves slightly when you push it? ..... There's no split by the way.

But they are on the inner side not on the outside.

That's fine then. Clean the mud off and see if it comes back. It's more than likely something that's just slashed through the front grill or from underneath.
