Everyone's really good thanks. :smt023

Mrs car is back and fixed, you'd never know. I've had it up at the back and it looks immaculate.

Good plans. This is what it would look like with the Mugen grill and gloss black alloys.

Not as nice as that white one there :D

A bit of a revival of this thread. I have been a silent watcher of the forum lately as I have been saving money to spend.

Flash Pro arrived today, installed the group N map on for now..... wow what a transformation I love it already!! Also got the car booked in for a FRSU and lowering springs next week at ABP and a miltek exhaust.

Next on the list is a HSK and a decent remap.

Most of you are probably know about The Infamous eDyno. And most of you will most likely think it is not a very good indication at all compared to a real dyno. But I have been having a bit of a play and I have to say its great fun!

I am getting mine on a dyno in a weeks time but before then its interesting to see what details the flash pro can tell you about your car. If these edynos are anywhere near a real dyno then this could be really handy.

Here is my eDyno - Stock with K&N drop in and GroupN flashed.

Thanks stoneyni but i havent got a clue what that means lol. I think ill pay the experts either an etune or a trip up north.

im loving the torque at 4k that the groupN gives you. i hope that a tune wont totally get rid of that kick.

No it won't. It'll just set the fuelling right for your mods and set the cam angles and timing optimally so you'll make a bit more power and get better mpg.

This is my GroupN map vs a TDi-North remap when I just had the cat back and HKS RSK.

More torque and power throughout the rev range.

Thats would be awesome if i could get mine to that. It looks lile a real nice drive. I love the kick at 4k and then you get another around 6k!

Had a nice drive up too ABP Motorsport yesterday. They installed a Miltek Catback, 15mm Eibach Springs and done a FRSU for my car.

Couldnt recommend ABP more, really nice guys and seem to know what there doing. They had it all done in quick time and the drive home was a alot nicer than the drive up there.

The springs/frsu really do improve the car and the miltek does sound really nice at low revs.

I'm glad in some ways I live so far away from places like ABP and TDI - otherwise i would end up with no money at all!!!

Shame I didnt know you were there!! I could have given you a joy ride! I have the Loudest FN2 you will ever hear LOL!! I was there a while on Tues and am not far

Yeah it woulda been cool to seen some decent modded fn2's. There was 2 guys there with FN2s one had a milano with a GP pack and gloss black alloys and one had a NHB, both nice looking cars. Were they anyone on here?

I had such a long drive and I didnt get much sleep the night before due to work so I didn't stick around much.

Took my car to a Dyno yesterday with some mates, my mate has his impreza WRX tuned after decatting and getting a decent exhaust. He made 286bhp which he was really happy with.

Anyway I stuck mine on there just to see how it is performing with a miltek catback and a tune. It made 210BHP and 156lbs/ft I was pretty happy with that, although it was 175WHP does anyone know if this is decent?

This is the latest eDyno reading i got using Flashpro I think this proves that you dont need a dyno you can just use flashpro. There almost identical.

HSK RSK installed, with a little help from Loxy's how to.

Next mod im considering is new TB and inlet. But is it worth it with standard exhaust mani and cat?

I really want a MOT'able car, and at the mo I can't see any decent options.

Piper offer a mani that has an optional cat. There's no point doing inlet & TB without at least changing the exhaust and even then you get minimal gains from increased airflow with the oe cams. Or at least that's what I've read

Depends what you want from the car. Decide where you want to go first. Do you want to stay N/a? Do you want to charge? How much power do you want? How much do you want to spend?

If you are thinking about TB & inlet then you are talking a remap and they aren't cheap. I have the FD2 TB + RRC Inlet + CPL CAI + HKS exhaust and have ended up with 226bhp, that is with the standard manifold. In total I gained 16bhp from standard (I had a run on the dyno with no mods and made 210bhp)! The problem with N/a is it is expensive to get more power out of them and as such only you can really decide if the costs are worth the gains. A number of the parts I have were 2nd hand and have helped keep the costs down, but i have still spent a small fortune. Would I do it again. YES. Why? Because it transformed the car as the driveability was vastly improved, far and above what the figures suggest.:D
