My dash board lights and rear lights don't work

my guess would be in the little compartment underneath the steering wheel, check the manual to find out which fuses to check ;)

Fuses are behind a panel just under the glove box. You can either remover the little bit or the whole panel. It's easy to take off just a good tug.

Check all the fuses if it's not an obvious one that's gone. When I changed my stereo it was a completely random one that blew, swapped it and it was fine.

It could be a dirty connection on the stalk. Try turning them on then apply a small amount of up or down pressure on the end that turns not loads as you don't want to break it.

The fuses that you should look for are under the bonnet, behind the battery.
I had the same issue, due to faulty radio cables.
