my dc2 blog

Well they don't fit anyway so gonna have to look at other options, might have to go back to my original plan of twin piston legend calipers

The dc2 brakes are better than the dc5.

If you wish to upgrade the dc2 brakes, Honda legend twin pot calipers fit.

Well I've spoke to hi spec today and they have advised me to get the brackets machined down a couple of mm. he was shocked to find out i was running 20mm spacers and they were till touching. lets say he wasn't the biggest fan of sprint wheels design lol

Well grinded down the bracket a bit to get the calipers to fit

then had to take a little bit off the top of the calipers, not ideal but it works

still a tight squeeze but the wheels go over now

Finally on after i didn't think i would get them on

Well these brakes are doing my nut in now, after fitting i noticed a juddering so i assume there warped. not a big issue, trying to find the discs they used though is.
Took some ep3 type r discs home from work, wouldn't go over the hub, tried some 300mm ones off a 03 onwards accord, same problem. got some atr discs to try last night, they go on the hub but the height of the disc isn't big enough so the caliper won't line up with the bracket by about 50mm or so.
Spent about 3 hours last night on the brembo website trying to find discs that match. closest i can find are some 304 mm vw transporter ones but will need drilling or the original holes making slightly larger.
Why's nothing straight forward

Would the Honda legend calipers make a big differencecompared to the original dc2 ones? Because i really need to upgrade the ones onmy dc2, but don’t to end up spending loads on some proper upgrades and end uphaving to buy bigger rims too.

i did look into the legend calipers as I've heard there a good upgrade, but these hi specs came up at a good price and look good as well as doing a job lol

Well i thought id have another go at my headlamp vent, after trying to fit it as it was i realised it was fouling the bumper so had to cut down the headlamp more and and just make a bracket for the trumpet

Next thing was to remove the air box until i get a new intake, also had to relocate the overflow for the radiator

Then had went to my local spares place for a bit of ducting but they didn't have anything big enough so went to b&q

on the first drive out i got a bit of black smoke as i think the engine kinda went what the hells happened i can breathe, its now quite throaty when it hits vtec and seems to pull harder, seems like maybe there's a bit of a stutter before vtec though

Leaving your airfilter like that is not very good even *** you got a huge intake you still got the manifold there next to it you get abit of heat soak from it and there is a change of note but it will have a flat spot i tryed doin mine like that and decided to put standered box back it and it runs alot better

Well that's only temporary, gonna get a bmc enclosed filter but seemed pointless putting the vent in then leaving the box in lol
