My Alpine h/u that i only got approx 4 months ago from Dalco has gone mental on me - the radio seems to work ok still but the cd side of things is a dfferent matter. When you turn the unit on either by the on/off button or the turning on the ignition, the display says the disk is paused ....why???... i didn't ask it to pause or more importantly when you press the pause button to continue with the tunes nothing happens except the display changes from paused to the word Eject. Have tried pushing eject, the screen slides down but fook all happens and the whole unit locks up.
Tried pushing reset but nothing happens apart from the screen goes back to it's normal postion and then the whole above process starts again   .
Have spoken to Dalco who has said that it's unlike Alpine units to go wrong but has told me it needs to be sent to some company up north to be looked at but it means i gotta put the standard h/u back in   So not only do i have to put up with standard speakers (which i was just about to change, but better keep hold of the money just in case) but i gotta suffer the standard h/u again .....still i spose it's better than nowt.
Apparently it could be away between 7-10 days.
