Update time !! didnt really do much yesterday just made sure she was running okay and getting the air lock out of the heater, pretty tough but sorted it in the end.

that was the hottest she got under idle, was hoping the fans on the rad would kick in so i knew they are working but no fans kicked in, im guessing they just dont get hot enough under idle?

Today was spent getting the suspension cleaned, just waiting on my parts before i can rebuild the front end

i have 2 new front wheel bearings on order, 2 new lower ball joints and some other bits and bobs but got all suspension cleaned and painted today, and gave the inside a polish as it was covered in mould and dust

Thanks dude back at work monday so wont be able to do much on the car, but gonna see if i can get another 2 weeks off soon

I remember cleaning loads of mould off my fiancee's first car. It's not a fun job but very rewarding when your left with a squeaky clean interior!

Haha yeah, wasnt fun but seen as i had most of the seats and interior out when i stripped the alarm out it made the job a tad easier

Just remembered the guy i bought the car off of was a member on here, dont know if hes still active, his ebay name was dsjones198, hes not active on there anymore and i dont have his emai,l was gonna tell him im on here now incase he was interested in seeing what has become of his old motor? but dont know if i can find him.

Quick little update didnt really do much today had a lazy day but got my front ARB off and gave that a bit of a clean up;

was going to go black at first but hunting around my garage i found a small can of red so thought i would use it up

and decided to start the windows only got drivers side done today as its been a while since iv tinted so f***ed it up a couple time but dont thing it turned out too bad:

and thats about it, tested out the new components in the back today gave them a good hatebreed bashing and they sound crystal clear cant wait to get them amped and get the rest of the system sorted

just waiting for some funds for that now!

been down the garage today didnt do a great deal, but got a couple of treats from the post man:

so started to put the hubs back together only finished passenger side as i seem to have lost a wheel stud so gonna have to find that before i finish the drivers side

also got the arb back on the car

and started getting some suspension back on

shot a quick vid of her running today



and also picked up some mdf to start working on the small sound system i plan on installing

but yeah other then that havent been doing much as im back at work now, will have to see if i can get some more time off soon. still got a few bits in the post but will update as they arrive and when i get time to work on her.

Well spent couple hours down garage today seen as the post man delivered some treats;
bunch of bolts

some tint

and a small treat for the engine bay which actually arrived a while ago iv just been lazy

so seen as the last of the front end bolts arrived i managed to get her looking like a car again !!

and also fixed the fie bar in place

and thats about all i got done today, just need to wait for a wheel stud to be delivered, dont ask i managed to loose one,,, still havent got a clue where its gone, but ohh well a friend is putting some tyres on my wheels nothing special they are only to move the car around and so i can finish spraying the wheels and not have to worry about getting paint on the rubber. will hopefully be able to roll her out and give her a wash soon!! as always will keep updated when i work on her !!

done a little bit of work on the car today nothing massive *** all i got done was put drivers hub back into place so at least its a slight bit closer , been driving round most of today picking up a car with a mate so been occupied most of today will try and knuckle down again soon but hers all i got done today :

hello fellow owners, apologies for the lack of updates lately, but have some for you now

have not bought anything new for the car yet as spent this months spending money on a new toy for the bedroom ... ( nothing like that filthy Bas**ds )

arrived friday ...



and out of the box ...



but enough of that back to the car!!

well first of all had enough of the car sitting squashed in the corner of the garage so got the passenger side bolted back up and with alot of pushing pulling and bumping managed to get the car in a more accessible place...



was good to see the car back on all fours !! but she wont be like that for long as theres still no brakes on it. as you can prob see by the front of the car i have started sorting out some damaged areas, plan to go over the hole car getting any little dings out before the respray.

now decided to have a break from the mechanical side of things and the rubbing down, so got started with the boot!

wanted to get rid of that silly piece of cardboard that covers the spare, and put in a nice new solid base for the build.

will say *** it looks like the previous owner used the boot as a piggy bank as under the spare wheel the was about 2 quids in change!!!



well after many hours umming and arrring finally came up with this ,, now massively neat but should do the job nicely !!



and with the new wheel hatch open...



got the sound system all planned just need to cut the wood and piece it together!!

and thats about it at the moment nothing massive but each step is a step closer next on the list is new passenger drive shaft (dont ask)
and brake calipers rebuilt as keep forgetting to do them then suspension should be almost done,, for now anyway!!

small update, not alot done today but got a wheel sandblasted, and had a second attempt at the paintwork :



and finally started stripping the rear end :





also got the rear caliper all stripped ready for the blaster :



as you can tell i have had a lazy day off work today haha

popped down the garage before work today only spent bout half an hour down there but got a wheel finished and tested it out rather like it glad i went with white now !!



and got a wheel arch under-sealed



will hopefully have the hole back end stripped down tuesday !!!

well another tuesday another day on the old girl !!
got two wheels almost finished, and found some wheel spacers down the garage so will have to try them out soon, but here we go 2 finished wheels:



after a couple hours tackling rusted/ seized nuts and bolts iv ended up with the read end in a pile on the floor ;



many cuts and bruises added to my hands !!

found a little surprise under the rear bumper ,,,



looks like some T**T has reversed into a lamp post at some point in its life! could have been worse though i guess !!

and spent the rest of the day getting the rear end under sealed :







now just need to get the rear cleaned up and back on !! although i think iv destroyed the 2 rear abs sensors so may have to replace them whoopsie!!

Hello fellow enthusiasts!!!! sorry for the major lack of updates !! not alot of progress has been added to the car as while working on the rear end i managed to fracture a finger but have gotten going again now !!

so first of all all the car is completely under sealed and looking spandangly !!





rear hubs all cleaned up





rear brakes all finished



all interior finished and components installed



and started getting the rear back on !!






very little to go now !! few silly mechanical bits to sort out and some bushes to order then its just purely cosmetics !!! im not going to lie am getting slightly excited !!!
