My NHB EP3

Thanks mate. Just had a look at your build thread and your FN2 looks mint. Is it as difficult to keep clean as NHB?

oh right I see I might look into getting one. Very fond of the splitter. Does it catch a lot or is it ok to live with?
Yeah I wasn't sure as to what induction kit I should purchase, I was thinking Gruppe M or ARC depending on funds.

I shouldn't have a problem with the coilovers as I am quite lucky and do a 8 mile round trip to work, although I have been looking at a few threads regarding suspension and springs are also a good way to go so two minds with that now.

Mine is lowered on apex springs and the only time it has scrapped is driving off mates drive! Don't reckon i could get in multi story car park any more.
I would have liked the Gruppe M but not for the £600 price tag lol, some people with the ARC have problems with the welds cracking.
Are you ever going to track your car? if not lot of people recommend Eibach springs with fast road set up! will probably change mine to Eibach's.

What kind of ride height does the Apex springs take the car down by? Yeah I did look at a new gruppe m but I cannot justify £600 either, so I will have to wait for a used one if one ever comes up lol. Thanks for the advice on the ARC system will give that a miss. I doubt I will track my car so maybe the Eibachs and fast road setup might be the best option. Are the Apex springs any good if I go for a fast road setup?

I've got Eibach sportlines on my ep, -45mm front and -30mm rear, can't reccomend them enough. I love them. They ride well, better than oems, but can be a bit harsh on big bumps. With springs and frsu it's a whole new car, totally AMAZEBALLS. I'd steer clear of coilies, but that's because I wouldn't want to go any lower than mine is now, would be a major PITA.

Yeah i spent quite some time looking at build threads and alot of the members are going for springs and FRSU. Definetely much cheaper than coilovers especially as the ones i want are £800 that I could spend towards some wheels and induction kit. How much is the average spend on springs and a FRSU?

I spent just over £700 on mine, all in. That included; springs, camber arms, camber bolts, all new nuts and bolts, new bushes, fitment at a honda dealership and frsu. I would consider that a pretty good deal. It's definately worth replacing all the nuts and bolts, probably the bushes too, mine were in a proper state after 8 years of salty scottish roads. the options are rather limited here, there's no specialist tuner or race garages around, there will be heaps of places down south giving more competative prices.

Cheers dude, about the same tbh mate, NHB you can always see the metal flake easier in any light where as DPB only really shows on a really really bright day.

They are 30mm drop mate and to be honest no will be changing to Eibach pro's! mate has set on his 182 and rides so much nicer not half as crashy as mine.

I think i may go down that route as it seems like you get quite alot of change for the same price as coilovers. Thanks for the advice.

Ok cheers I will have a look into getting the eibachs' i dont think I could deal with a crashy ride even if I have a short travel to work.

An update, after spending the day detailing the car I wake up to find someone has reversed into my car so I now need to source a bumper. Mods have been put on hold for now. Will get some pictures up of the car after detailing anyway once my friend has emailed them to me .

Aw crap man, that suck donkeyknob! Is it bad? I guess you didn't find out who it was?

Some complet f**khole dented and scratched my car then did a runner last week.

I thought it was quite bad but a family friend has just come and had a look he will fix it for me, he said its not bad . So fingers crossed it will be sorted by friday. He is going to reset the front bumper and adjust everything and also a fresh respray for the front bumper. I took the bumper off myself earlier on and had a look for any damage but everything is still intact and secure.

I didnt find out who it was and no note as usual. I know some right a***holes out there. Hope yours isnt too bad mate.

"Looked into getting Meister R look like great bit of kit but drive my car daily so don't want a hard ride."

Hi Chris

The Meister R suspensions are proving to be quite popular. They are not as harsh as the Tein coilovers. I have them fitted to my car but haven't tested it yet until my build is completed. They are a lot road -friendly from what I have heard from civic owners.

Hi Satchin21 welcome to the forum:) and look forward to hearing more of future plans.

HSD Coilovers pictured - Good all round coilover and bedded in brilliantly.
Fast Road Set up done too along with buddyclub roll center adjusters and DME Rear Camber arms.

Number Plate back on now and looking good.

Spoon N1 Rep Fitted alongside Sportex B pipe. Sounds amazing and pops and bangs like crazy. Alot of people said it was really too much especially on the motorway however I found that cruising at 70mph with light or minimal throttle it doesnt intrude and can hold a proper conversation.
