Hi all, new on the forum here. Having my UKDM DC2 Resprayed in NISMO vibrant red, as seen on the new nissan GTR. Car bodywork wasn't up to much when I bought it, so a new bit of paint should make all the difference. I went for the NISMO vibrant red, as its just a rad brighter than Milano red, but not too over the top. Future plans is to add a carbon boot and rear spoiler, to tie in with the carbon bonnet, then possibly a carbon lip.
Layout isn't fantastic of this build, as ive just copied and pasted my thread from itr-dc2
Anyhows, the car as i got it:
And to replace the low front tyres, some r888's were out on the front:
As the tyres on the back were new, i left them for the meantime until i could afford another 2 r888's
I then picked up a VIS Racing Sports carbon bonnet
Then i got the accord alloys off, got them all prepped, and refurbed in a BMW metallic Grey from an E30
Whilst the accord alloys were off, had to borrow others
Front - 1994 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo
Rear - Toyota Hiace Van
Then unfortunately i learnt the hard way about off-camber, cheap rear tyres with front r888's, and lift off oversteer
Result - Two bucked alloys that were only a few days painted, and a ripped r888
Thankfully a relative painted them also, so i wasnt too out of pocket
So i got onto ebay and put it to how it should have been:
Then i got it ready for its respray in some fresh Milano Red:
Standard bonnet back on:
Bad Paint:
Left it down to TLC Specialist Finishing in Dundonald, Belfast for its respray

Whilst i was up, i noticed the bumper brackets could do with replacing, so ordered a new set of brackets from Honda.
Was up again today, and the doors and bumper are finished:
Bonnet still needing work, but as ive the carbon bonnet, this can wait until the car is finished
Teg looking sorry for itself
More bits prepared for primer:
Decided to treat the car to some wax for when it comes out, im going to wait a few weeks for the paint to cure, then get a few layers of Fireglaze onto it, followed by valentine & co concurs wax:
Just the boot, side skirts, door handles and mirrors to do, then afterwards the standard wheels are getting done gunmetal
