FN2 New 'Soon to be' Owner

Fair enough mate, the FN2 is not a bad car, but you asked our opinions and you have them.

Best of luck with teh car dude;) :D .

You've made up your mind without driving either FN2 or FD2. I'm guessing you'll hate both anyway. You are used to turbo and big capacity engines which produce lots of torque, when you drive any CTR for the first time you'll change gear at 4000rpm and you'll think "this is the slowest car I've ever driven".

The mods your planning are just going to make it worse. Go buy a 350Z instead.

J

I have driven a FN2 and loved it, and 1.6T aint that big, plus i found the FN2 better performing than the SRi, FD2 however i aint driving because I'm not prepared to travel the South west (Devon) all the way for a 1 hour test drive, when i live in Cheshire...

The will make it worst... So why do 90% of people on this forum use some of them...

And when you say buy a 350Z sorry but there terrible, it was choice between a SLK and a 350Z...

There ride was about as comfortable as falling all the way down a ski slope, 3 gear was more or less inaccessible, always got 5th, and when i did hit 3 it was like it was in 1st, and the response of the steering was just silly.

Now the guy said its because it a test drive vehicle, and that it had been hammered...

I'm sorry how long will i have one until its 'Hammered'... not waiting to be disappointed.

Oh thanks for the opinions everyone they where good lol, and did make me think about the FD.

90% of people on this forum who bought an FN2 realise they should have bought a faster car in the first place.

Moding is such a pointless thing to do anyway. I can't think of a worse way to spend money. You spend on the engine, then the brakes need upgrading, then the suspension can't cope. Once you've spent all that money ruining a car nobody will want to buy it off you so it's worth less money and the warranty is void.

JUST BUY A FASTER CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

J

I enjoy modding cars, and i do have a fast car anyway, an SLK!.

Oh and as for the warranty, its does not void it, Quote* 'Warranty can not become void for simply changing a part, but they can refuse a warranty claim if they have specialist knowledge of the party/modification in question has coursed the fault'.

So if i change the Exhaust, they cant decline a warranty claim on a faulty ECU...

unless of courses its a Hondata ECU, But by law they must tell me that its the part, and they will have to look into the party and tell me where things have gone wrong...

Trust me i've done my homework!. And i just dont like the FD2, 4 door and IMO a shabby interior.

haha. fn2 it is then.. nice choice. get it with every spec you can. i'd opt for the CW as it comes with the HID i think. i had to upgrade mine with a non-honda part because they just arent bright enough. especially if you do alot of country driving. plus the CW is white. a bright white. a TYPE R WHITE.... yeahhhh...

Trust me i've done my homework!

In this case I will mark it at 3/10 'must research harder'

I think going to go for the FN2 guys, despite what you lot have been saying, agree, the FD is a better car, but its to not my type i will however swap it straight away if i ever feel disappointed.

But the mods, will sure help that... Hopefully!.

Crackers/Barmy etc, I am sure I read you are looking to spend £8k on mods? on an FN2. If you are not happy with the FN2 you will swap straight away to an FD2? Have you driven the FD2 yet? Seriously this thread is frustrating and if you buy the FN over the FD, I will, as someone else has mentioned cry for you

Seriously if you have the bare dollar to buy out right and are considering an FN2 over an FD2 then you are not researching well enough.

The FD2 being a 4dr (like Evo's and Scoobys) runs absolute rings around the FN2 in all aspects out of the box!!!. LSD, handling, power, exclusivity? JDM y0 too which means it is better built.

Anyway enough on this from me, it sounds as though you have made your mind up and no one on here (who know what they are talking about!!) nor anyone else will make you change your mind :smt023

I know the FD is a much batter, i understand the power difference along with the exclusivity, but doesn't really bother me...

maybe for my next car, but not right its my first Honda and i don't wanna jump right into the deep end...

Even my friend who work for the dealership even says I'm barmy.

FD is obviously the better car, but I've recently picked up my FN2 and couldn't be happier. It has everything i want and I find it fun to drive :) And personally I prefer the look over the FD.

So does this mean you'll keep it for a whole month instead of the usual two weeks?

check the FD2 section on here, Holden Honda have an 07 FD2 (white with red interior) 2k miles on the clock for £14k
