After I had a bit of an inspection I was really happy! A bit of dirt but nothing I couldn't sort out

After fitting it I've stubbled across a minor hitch

EDIT: Time to start looking for an induction kit now I guess anyone got a spare laying around?

So, not updated in a good few months as I've not really had much to update due having no money and changing jobs; any who, what have I brought to update,

Buddyclub Shortshifter, improved to driver feel but not be kept long term as I do want a K-Tuned one

While I had all the centre interior out I decided to replace the gear gator as mine original one had a fag burn

And fitted

Then I also got a Mugen gearknob and key fob cover

I then fitted the gearknob

Beginning of July I had a problem with getting out of reverse after dropping my missus off at work, so I remove all the trim again to realise that the guider for one of the shifter cables had given up

And my most recent purchase was a parcel shelf, didn't require a photo but I'll show them anyway

Very nice, saw the gaitor on FB, looks spot on!

The way the parcel shelves move up with the tailgate on DC5s still makes me smile, proper

Nice few bits there Kev, looking good, will have a nosey at JAE.

Cheer Simon, I promise to wash and give mine a good polish this year haha

You keeping yours fresh?

I'm never buying a universal gaiter again! It was a right headache; but in all fairness now it's fitted it was worth it.

When I went to pick the parcel shelf up I looked at it and thought it wasn't big enough lol

Yes mate trying to keep it fresh, can't keep the stone chips away though.

did you consider getting impact protection on the front?

I did look into it but for the whole car but it was many £'s, I have a few stone chips but not that many too be honest even have one on the door under the mirror???? Only done around 3.5k since the respray so it does keep it to a minimum.

Another update, after buying my parcel shelf I had an idea that I've not seen done on the DC5 so I went for it and revealed at JAE at weekend...

**Warning pic heavy as I captured the progress**

So I undone and taken trimming off

All sowing done my amazing girlfriend and photos done by me

Looks absolutely brilliant in the flesh, smashing job mate. I've completely forgotten your girlfriends' name, but credit to her for some quality work. The pics make it look like you were hanging over her shoulder the entire time like an excited child. I don't blame you.

Haha I was, she loved doing it as it was something different from her usual of sowing dresses for a living! She wants to take it apart again to tighten it up but I think she done a quality job in few hours she had to get it done.

Her names Jena

Well it's been a while since I updated/brought anything for Keith due to having buying lots of parts for EJ9 track Lola.

This last few week has been a big spend from investing in new private reg. to lots of other goodies...

Then as many of you already know, someone stole my rear badge and scratched the paintwork!!

Cleaned up and luckily no bare metal was showing and the scratch is hidden by the new badge

I think the hardest job out of the lot, the rear engine mount insert!! Granted I still have a standard manifold but jeeeeez, never again. How the hell some of you have done this job on the driveway on axel stands...
ff73c86f36a56898c9b52036ca508253.jpg

This is what it resorted to, to get the engine mount back in it frame!

Ended up liking the look and handling of;
Front camber: -1.5
Front toe: 0
Rear camber: -1
Rear toe: 1.8 total toe in

That's it for now, all that's left to do is the front engine mount, SHG rack slider and Spoon Sports wing mirrors. Not sure if these will be done by Japfest but I'm going to give it a go.

Small update, finally fitted the last parts today from my last batch of mods I brought...

Spoon Sports wing mirror replacement

Latest update that's happened over the last 2 weeks; first up was the return to a Skunk2 weighted gearknob.
6d87900536dfbe91b18c08401ff650e9.jpg

Replaced all my disc and pads all round with Dixcel FP front disc and OEM on the rear with Dixcel ES pads all round.

Next up which happened on Sunday gone was a wheel swop with another DC5 owner, not sure if he's on here or not; either a nice set of bronze Rota Grids which I love the colour combo!

Then yesterday the mod I've been waiting for far too long; owned my PasswordJDM induction chamber since Japfest Silverstone. After looking around for a battery relocation kit and seeing some of the prices, I decided to give my mate the job of making the battery holder and bracket to move the battery lower down in the engine bay next to the gearbox.

Let's just say I am well over the moon with the outcome and think my mate done a brilliant job!
