I am in the process of fitting a new head unit.i connected everything up last night and everything was working.to day I had to disconect it and I have plugged it back in and it doesnt turn on.i have checked all the fuses and non have blown is there anything else I should check?

I have checked that and looks fine and I have checked the one under the steering wheel and the fuse under the bonnet

Checked how?
Just looking? Or continuity checks?

Did you have the ignition on? Sounds daft but it happens!!

Check the plugs for bent pins and the wiring for damage etc.

I took them out to see if the metal bit in the fuse had blown.i started the car up just in case that was the case as well. I have only taken the headunit connector out since it was working last night

Voltmeter.

Black lead on a good earth (body) and red lead on the red and yellow wires in the plug.

Should see over 12v
