Noise from Air Conditioning

Hi all,
I haven't driven my car in over 2 months.
I started it last week and when the A/C was turned on there was a hissing/metallicy type noise coming from the centre vents. In my mind, the noise sounds like a sword being sharpened on a sharpening wheel or a wheel rubbing against something metal as it turns. Its not high pitched and is a slow noise.

I've checked the blower motor and it seems to be running fine.
I've also visually checked the compressor and that is running fine too; clutch engages when A/C button is pressed. I've yet to put a stethoscope on the compressor to check if the noise is origination from there.
I've checked the belts also.

The A/C has stopped blowing cold.

I'm stumped guys and would appreciate your help in this matter

I think your A/C needs regassing.

Was regassed in March this year.

Probably a leak somewhere.

I did wonder that but need to regass to see if it holds pressure
