Forum sticker added, gives the car a 5% sexyness boost :)

Wobbly engine shot also (taken on phone). Had a quick clean, nothing more than a dampened cloth. Some degreaser needed for the rocker cover next time. I've also got some steel wool to try and get some of the scale off the manifold etc. Will update once I've had a go at that.

Now with 'R' battery strap. Thanks to rossmarts for a smooth sale, and to JMR for making such a quality part in the first place

Tonight, after a brown pants moment (See here), I've got this Tegiwa Imports ETD on.

EDIT - After taking Lottie's advice (thanks again), it now sounds less rattly, and looks like this:

Did you notice any difference? If so, what? Pos/Neg? Any vibrations inside?

Well I've not tested/adjusted it thoroughly since it was pretty late when I got done last night, and the car's already pretty loud. Had a quick drive though, and felt like the car sounded better, throttle response was noticably improved in 6th gear. There was some vibration through the steering wheel whilst ticking over, but I didn't find it to be a problem.

I know you've had issue with this, but I think you've got it on wrong, and I love ETDs so the less people with bad experiences the better!! The mount that attaches to the top of the suspension, closest one to the windscreen, should be above where it fits to the ETD. This keeps the ETD straight and stops it from putting downward pressure on the bracket.

Also according to the Spoon instructions, you've got it the wrong way round, the orange nut should be closest to the windscreen bracket.

Also your bracket near the mount doesn't look that straight, the damper fixing is quite close to the long bolt thread on the mount.

The Tegiwa Imports one is supposed to be an exact copy so it should all be the same as the Spoon.

These are a few pics I took when I was going to do a how to but didn't get round to it.

Shows how it should be on both brackets, nice and straight, damper under the bracket at the suspension end and close to the long bolt at the mount end:

You only take this one nut off, but you know this now!!:

Got zero instructions with the Tegiwa one, and couldn't find a "how to" guide for it, and since everyone went on about how simple they are to fit I thought i'd sussed it. But since I trust your how to guides, I'll sort this out tomorrow probably :) cheers
