number plate light

Hi all.

I have an 09 CTR. One of my number plate lights doesnt work all the time but when you give it the slightest of taps it will work. Any ideas how to fix this? Or how to guide of how to get to them.

The bulb is clearly loose. Take off the cover and tighten it up.

Do you have to take cover off through the tail gate? Sorry im a noob. Anyone got a how to guide.

I doubt you'd have to go through the tailgate, if there's no screws holding it in it'll probably pop out with a gentle lever. If replace the bulbs aswell while you're there. They'll only be pence to buy.

do you know which bulbs they are?? ive seen a few people have changed them for LEDs.

No mate sorry, ep3's are 501's but not sure on FN2's.

I have managed to find them now. you access them through opening your boot. then there are two black covers if you flick them off with a flathead you can access all the lights. easy peasy!!! just got to buy some new ones, thinking of changing to LED ones they look better.
