EP3 ODB-II dongle always on

Hi,

I've got an ODB-II bluetooth dongle which I would like to eventually make into an in-car dashboard with stats/metrics on the car. However the one I have seems to always be on, which is rather annoying since I would like to just leave the thing in there. I've drained the battery with this plugged in before (left it in when I went on holiday).

Is this normal, what do other people do with this? Removing it each time I leave the car would get old pretty fast.

when the car is shutdown is off, when you turn the key it always on. this is the case in my dongle.

It's definitely not the case in my dongle. Which are you using?
