Question about oil..Motul/Shell

Soon I have to change oil,Is it true that a Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 is not full(100%) synthetic oil?,Is it better to put Motul 300 V Power 5w40?
 
I use motul 300v in my S2K and it is a completely different oil to Helix. Motul is an ester based oil hence why the price is so different. IMO if you drive the car hard and track it then go for the motul as it will hold up to the temps far better. Fuchs Titan Pro S or R is another ester based oil on the Market which is a bit cheaper.
