Random Tyre Question

Hi Guys,

I was having a discussion with some guys at work and we are split on whether having a tyre fitted to your car with a lower side wall than the manufacturer specify would invalidate your insurance. For example the Civic EP3 is specified as having a side wall of 45, would it be illegal to use a tyre with a side wall of 40 instead?

I highly doubt it would cause an issue, although it's always best to specify all changed/mods. For example Pace Ward have a full list of my cars mods including wheels, wheel sizes, tyres, tyre sizes etc.
